Victorian employees have portable long service leave schemes in several industries, administered by CoINVEST, BSLS, and other portable authorities. The Fair Work Act applies to national-system employers.
Under the Long Service Leave Act 2018 (Vic), employees are entitled to access LSL (at a rate of 1/60th of service) after 7 years. Employees who resign or are dismissed after 7 years receive a pro-rated payment. The rate increased from the previous 1/80th calculation under the old Act.
How ClockIt Helps
ClockIt calculates Victorian LSL at the 1/60th rate from 7 years, distinguishing between the old and new Act entitlements for long-tenured employees.
Workers in Community Services, Contract Cleaning, Security, and certain other industries accrue portable LSL with CoINVEST, BSLS, or another industry authority—meaning entitlements carry between employers in the same industry. Employers must register, make quarterly contributions, and report on eligible workers.
How ClockIt Helps
ClockIt generates the quarterly contribution data files and employee records required for CoINVEST/BSLS submission, tracking eligible workers separately from standard LSL accruals.
Victorian employers with 15+ employees are encouraged (and in some sectors required) to report gender pay gaps under the Workplace Gender Equality Act and state-level reporting guidelines. Disclosable actions under the Gender Equality Act 2020 apply to defined entities.
How ClockIt Helps
ClockIt's reporting module generates gender pay analysis reports by department and classification, providing the data needed for both WGEA reporting and internal equity reviews.
Never worry about missing an overtime threshold, break penalty, or leave entitlement again.
